Group Class Studio Policies
We have established studio policies to ensure a positive and productive learning environment for all participants.
Class schedule and attendance
Class Times: Please arrive 5 minutes before class to ensure you are ready to begin on time.
Attendance: Regular attendance is crucial for progress. If you must miss a class, please inform the instructor by utilizing the studio member portal as soon as possible.
Make-Up Classes: Make-up classes are not typically offered for group sessions. However, a make-up session will be scheduled in the case of instructor cancellations.Payment and Fees
Tuition: Tuition for classes is due on the first of each month. All payments are flat-rate subscription automatic payments.
Late Fees: A late fee of $20 will be applied to payments received after the 1st of each month.
Refunds: Tuition is non-refundable. At the studio's discretion, exceptions may be made in cases of extended illness or other extenuating circumstances.Class Etiquette
Preparation: There are no required purchases for classes. However, you are responsible for the items given to you during the class and must bring them to each class. This may include instruments, sheet music, or assigned lesson books.
Behavior: Respectful behavior is expected at all times. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal from the class without a refund.
Participation: Active participation is encouraged. Students should be ready to engage in class activities and discussions.Practice Expectations
Home Practice: Regular practice at home is essential for progress. If you are enrolled in a piano class and do not have a keyboard at home, please contact a DewMusic Studio team member about renting an instrument.
Practice Logs: Students are encouraged to keep a practice log to track progress and help the instructor provide more tailored guidance.Health and Safety
Illness: If a student feels unwell, please do not attend class. Please cancel the class using the studio member portal.
Cleanliness: Students should wash their hands before class. The studio will be equipped with hand sanitizers and disinfected regularly.Instrument Care
Pianos: Students are expected to treat the studio pianos with care. Any damage caused by improper use will be the responsibility of the student and their family.
Photo and Video Release
Media Use: Occasionally, the studio may take photos or videos of classes for promotional purposes.
Respect
Respect for all: Our studio is a safe and inclusive space.
Supportive Environment: We strive to create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where students can thrive.
